It’s been such a busy week for me which means, sadly, not a tonne of crocheting got done. However, I was in dire need of some new dish scrubbies (my previous ones from last year are looking pretty worn these days). The heart dish scrubbies are super sweet (and very timely for Valentines Day next week!) but, since I didn’t have a lot of time to crochet this week, I was more concerned with cranking out a few scrubbies in as little time as possible, so I went for a basic square and was able to make 4 in pretty quick time.
I love these shades of the Red Heart Scrubby Cotton yarn; they compliment each other so well and make a perfect little set; they’d be great to add to a basket with some home-made preserves and a little succulent plant for a house warming gift for a friend or neighbour. The colours are also perfect for a little practical Valentine’s Day project! (…just don’t give them as a Valentine’s gift to your partner; it may not go over well.)
Ready for this mega-complicated pattern? Brace yourselves: 20 rows of 20 sc sts. Lol, yep, that’s it. And of course, you can make your scrubbies as big or as small as you need them, for example, 15 rows of 15 sc sts or 25 rows of 25 sc sts, etc. Super simple and quick!

Ch – Chain
Sc – Single crochet
Dish Scrubby:
Row 1: Ch 21, sc across (20 sts)
Rows 2-20: Sc across (20 sts)
Tie off. Weave in ends. Get squeaky clean dishes!
