Crochet Cafe

Hi, friends! I wanted to pop into your feeds to show you what’s been on my hook this week: I’ve been getting my chips + guac on with a new crochet book called Crochet Cafe!

I was so pleased when I received a copy of this brand new amigurumi book from my friend Lauren Espy (@amenagerieofstitches on IG). The whole book reads like a cookbook with “recipes” for dozens of adorable amigurumi food patterns!

Even more adorable is the layout of the book; it’s categorized into different meals like ‘breakfast’, ‘snacks’, ‘dessert’ and so on.

After browsing through the book, I decided to make the adorable chips and guacamole patterns, but it was such a tough choice for what to make first! There are just too many super sweet patterns in there (I might make the avocado and avo toast next! No wait, the eggs and bacon. Or the pancakes? Gah. So many cute options.)

These would make really sweet additions to shops and markets because they have an extremely high cute factor but are very quick and easy to make, I made the chips and guac all in one evening. All the patterns use basic crochet stitches and techniques, so I am confident that even a beginner would absolutely love this pattern book.

For mine, I used Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny in Citrus and Cream, and Caron Simply Soft in Gray Heather for the bowl.
