Floppy Ear Bunny Free Crochet Pattern

Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing a pattern for the floppiest of floppy-eared bunnies! I made this little bunbun on a whim not long ago; it was on the lunar new year (year of the rabbit!) AND I happened to have some Honey Bunny yarn from Hobbii so there was absolutely no way I could let the occasion pass by without making a little bunny! Luckily, this little bunny also makes the perfect Spring project!

This bunny is made up of simple shapes and because the yarn is a Super Bulky weight yarn, it works up incredibly quickly. You could also change up the ears to make it into something completely different; triangle ears and some whiskers would turn this cutie into the perfect little kitty.

P.S. If you spy those crocheted carrots in a few pics and are interested in making them, you can find the free pattern here!

Let’s get into it!

The Details

The finished measurements are approximately 15cm/6″ long.

Notes:

  1. This bunbun is worked in separate pieces (head, body, ears, legs, and tail), which are stitched together during assembly.
  2. All pieces are constructed in continuous rounds, except for the ears which are worked as two flat panels crocheted together.
  3. The head is worked around a starting chain.

Let’s get started! (Or Pin/Shop for later!)
