Bee Mine Free Crochet Pattern

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a cute Valentine’s themed bee (’tis the season!). Of course, you don’t have to make it Valentine’s Day themed – I have included alternative options for the antennae if you don’t want to do hearts. Other than that, you just need to change up the colours and you’d have a regular (but adorable!) bee amigurumi.

The Details

  • The body, head, arms, and legs are worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up.
  • The wings are made up of two panels, which are worked around a starting chain, and then crocheted together and slightly stuffed.
  • The antennae are made up of a wrapped chenille stem and a heart. The heart is worked in the round and glued or stitched to the stem. As noted, there are instructions for alternative antennae, which are worked in continuous rounds.
  • The finished measurements are approximately 20cm/8″ tall.

Let’s get started! (Or Pin/Shop for later!)

Using red yarn, stitch the wings onto the back of your bee.

Bee Wings

Insert the exposed chenille stem of the antennae into the head at rounds 15-16 with approximately 6 or 7 stitches between them (in line with each eye is a good rule of thumb). Secure in place with a dab of glue at the back. If you opted for the alternative antennae, stitch them onto the head.

Stitch the legs onto the sides of the body at rounds 4-5.

Stitch the arms onto the sides of the body at rounds 15-16 (above the top stripe).

Weave ends.
